I said I'd share it with you
And now it's all falling down
That's when it came unglued
Back when you came around
You said you'd take my hand
You said you wouldn't let go
You said you'd be a new man
But I didn't know
What you were doing
Where you were
I think I'm losing
This to her
She said she was sorry
And I said it's over
I should have been wary
When you were hungover
The signs they were there
But I couldn't see
I found it unfair
Her eyes full of glee
I watched you with her
I waited some time
I've now given up
On calling you mine

Exteriors - 1/5/10
All they want
Is a not-so-empty bed
And all they need
Is a place to lay their heads
Coming out of the cage
They thought they were doing fine
But they left out the rage
And they peeled back the rind
Now the exterior's gone
And they're losing their heads
Been like this all along
Don't you wish you were dead?
And now the motive's intact
And everyone's here
But is it all just an act?
As they drown in their fears
And now it's falling
The time runs off track
Mysterious calling
Take it back
All they want
Is a not-so-empty bed
And all they need
Is a place to lay their heads
They don't want to wait
Years and years
It'll be too late
To finish what they started
Because the path
It was never charted
An endless, streaming shower
Of raging, hell-bent lies
And in the end it will devour
The best parts, so shut your eyes
They need to turn time
Around and 'round again
They already crossed a line
The last time they turned the bend
And when it's over
It won't end
It's moving slower
Around the bend
All they want
Is a not-so-empty bed
And all they need
Is a place to lay their heads
They don't want to wait
Years and years
It'll be too late
To finish what they started
Because the path
It was never charted
And when they return
The cage, it will be their friend
Inside they burn
But it's not yet the end
Time to wait longer
Now it's coming to a close
The beginning was stronger
But the future is still a road
All they want
Is a not-so-empty bed
They don't want to wait
And all they need
Is a place to lay their heads
